Founded in 1975, Paladin Funding, Inc. is the result of several real estate entrepreneurs coming together to provide high leverage structured capital solutions to support challenged capital stacks in well-conceived projects. The principals have 80 years of combined experience in the commercial real estate industry. We understand investors because we are investors.
At Paladin, we combine experience, creativity, and capability. We offer direct access to decision-makers. There are no loan committees. We are nimble and move at the pace that institutional capital providers cannot compete with. Clients receive responses typically within 48 hours. All lending decisions are made by the principals who will be your direct contact. Mark M. Garay, is a seasoned attorney and business executive, we bring a wealth of expertise in asset-based finance, banking, and real estate. Mr. Garay, a member of the California Bar Association since 1974 and a licensed real estate broker since 1979, has a rich background in real estate investment as a principal and advisor, both in the U.S. and internationally. His expertise spans finance, entitlements, workouts, syndication, development, construction, and rehabilitation of commercial real estate.
Bill Sumski – has more than 30 years experience in acquisitions, operations, and development, for both publicly traded and private real estate companies. Mr. Sumski has successfully undertaken total transactions in excess of $1 billion dollars including complicated urban development and redevelopment projects. Most recently he has been syndicating and structuring private transactions. Mr. Sumski has a law degree from UCLA, an MBA from UC Berkeley
